Please join us for a conference call to learn about the National Campaign to Reform State Juvenile Justice Systems,an initiative funded by the MacArthur, Robert Wood Johnson, and Gund foundations and the New York Community Trust.

Building on the work of local, state and national juvenile justice reform advocates, theNational Campaign to Reform State Juvenile Justice Systems seeks to accelerate the pace of reforms throughout the country. By assessing the needs and opportunities for reforms in each state, seasoned policy professionals worked in partnership with state advocates and reform-minded policymakers to achieve significant policy change.

In 2011, the Campaign promoted policies designed to:
  • Keep youth out of the criminal and juvenile justice system;
  • Change the way youth are treated to reflect their developmental differences from adults; and
  • Increase availability and access to effective alternatives to juvenile incarceration.
We will be joined on the call by Laurie Garduque of the MacArthur Foundation, as well as her colleagues Jason Zeidenberg in DC, Gabriella Celeste in Ohio, and Deborah Fowler in Texas, to discuss this important new work in which they are engaged.
